Contemporary Art Practice

Iris Walker-Reid

Exploring our environment, in its beginning, past and present as the unknown relationship between our self and our surroundings can be apparent by the markings left behind. As an Artist analysing the joyless life of an object involves tearing apart, playing with form, and its details as Nostalgia from the smallest objects carries the biggest effect, shaping who we are.

These ghostly impressions are exposing the raw emotions of erosion of time. It is crucial to show these small changes of time as it builds a portrait of us and our movement. Our memories get buried into its grain and carried in a Skip.
