Look Again is a creative unit based at Gray’s School of Art. We host a range of events and exhibitions throughout the year all designed to connect, highlight and strengthen the creative sector in North East Scotland. As well as the biennial Look Again Visual Art & Design Festival, we run the Look Again Project Space in St Andrew Street, creative business support programmes and pop-up events like Creative Chit-Chat Nights.
Look Again Festival invites artists and designers to respond to place and people, animating public space and seeing the city through inspiring fresh eyes. Through the festival we bring the creative community together, creating opportunities for students, emerging creatives and established professionals to present new work, develop their career and engage with the public.
Look Again runs a city-centre Project Space showing a year-round programme of high quality exhibitions, as well as talks and workshops for the public and the creative sector. Our focus is on supporting artists and designers emerging from the region, with whom we develop ambitious new projects and commissions. Within the space we also provide opportunities for students and emerging artists to gain experience of working in a professional gallery context. Programme funded by Aberdeen City Council and Creative Scotland.
Hear from a range of speakers connected to the creative industries in the north east and further afield, who use a super-fast format to talk about what they do and why they do it. The Creative Chit-Chat nights are a simple, relaxed, tried and tested format - interesting people talk, and the audience listens and are inspired!
The Look Again Creative Entrepreneurship course is a fully funded, Postgraduate level course providing business development support for creatives in Scotland - taking place over 6 full-day online workshops during June/July, with more sessions coming up in 2021. Join other ambitious individuals or companies wishing to turn their business ideas into reality. Whether you are starting up as a recent graduate or looking to take your existing business to the next level, we can help.
